Samsung Galaxy J1 is the first in line in its J series. It was launched in 2015 as a low-end budget handset with SM-J100Y firmware.

Step 01 – Preparations
- First, you should install Samsung USB drivers on the computer.
- The next step is the Samsung J1 firmware download. SM-J100Y firmware download is available. Just click the download button provided.
- Then you should download the Odin tool.
- Next extract both compressed files into a new folder.
- Then run the Odin tool. You will find the “.exe” file on extracted content.
Step 02 – Getting J1 ready
- Next, we need to prepare the j1 for the SM-J100Y stock ROM flashing.
- First, enable USB debugging. In order to do that go to Settings –> About Phone –>Build Number –> Tap 7 Times –> Developer options –> Switch ON –> USB debugging –> Enable. If we dont allow USB debugging the device do not support the USB cable.
- Then boot the J1 into download mode. Start by turning off the mobile phone –> Press and hold —> Volume down button, Home Button, Power Button –> Samsung logo appear –> Warning –> Click Ok by volume button
Step 03 – Flashing SM-J100Y stock ROM flash file
- Now it’s ready for flashing the Samsung J100Y flash file.
- Connect the J1 with the windows PC. Use the USB cable.
- The Odin will detect the device and will show you an added message.
- Then add the necessary 4 files into each slot. (BL, AP, CP, CSC)
- Tick the F.Reset and the Auto Reboot from the options. Other than that no option should be ticked.
Finally, click the start button. - Within 2-10 minutes the flashing SM-J100Y Flash File will be finished. And it will reboot automatically a few times while the device is connected to the PC. It’s normal.
- Finally, the progress bar will be filled and you will get a passed message.
Warning – SM-J100Y firmware 4 files flashing will clear the entire memory. Please back up the device before you start the process.
